What's great about where you shoot?
It’s a beautiful historic location with series of arches and cloisters that provide an ever-changing seasonal light and an implicit drama of its own - which works well for shooting actors. My approach is quite filmic,
I look to embrace the narrative possibilities the location offers along with the psychological reveal of the close up. When it works well, the images are resonant of movie stills with a sense that something has just happened or is about to happen – giving the images drive, momentum and life.
Describe your dream studio:
To be honest, I love shooting where I do – there are times in Winter when it can get a little chilly, and on occasion, we have to reschedule when it’s too windy – but people accept that as the reality of shooting n such a unique space.
